Research questions and hypotheses relating to employees’ morale, performance, commitment, and perception were raised, while quantitative data was collected with a close- ended structured questionnaire, the X2 Chi-square statistical tool was employed in testing the hypotheses, with a sample size of 203 respondents. The findings revealed that, rationalization as a set of actions adopted by the management of the National Gallery of Art improved its employees’ performance. It was therefore recommended that, various mechanisms should be employed from merit based recruitment, job descriptions, motivations and employee participation to enhance employees’ commitment for better performance.
