    • The paper "Media Coverage of Crisis: A Concept-Based Analysis" discusses the parameters that could be used as standard for the ; appraisal of content of media coverage of Crisis. Basing its ’• theoretical foundation on Social Responsibility, Agenda Setting • and Cultivation Theories, the paper appraised the issues that ' could be seen as standard or yardstick that can be used in the analysis of content of media coverage of crisis. The concepts or themes considered are: Media Portrayal of Reality, Selective Reporting/Ethnic Bias, Media as Tool for Generating Concern and : Stereotype Reporting as it Relates to Coverage of Crises. The paper : concludes that using the above criteria, the researcher can be better equipped with tools that can be used to analyze the coverage of crisis by the media.

    The Internet is considered a huge development in human civilization. It is literally considered as a practical key or essential to human development and social advancement causing massive innovation in the world. Over the years, the advent of new media has permeated most aspects of our lives, especially that of the young generation. It is against this background that this paper aims to analyze the present use of the new media by youths to gauge their usage in relation to political participation. This study is a capital based survey, covering FCT-Abuja.
