Basing its ’• theoretical foundation on Social Responsibility, Agenda Setting • and Cultivation Theories, the paper appraised the issues that ' could be seen as standard or yardstick that can be used in the analysis of content of media coverage of crisis. The concepts or themes considered are: Media Portrayal of Reality, Selective Reporting/Ethnic Bias, Media as Tool for Generating Concern and : Stereotype Reporting as it Relates to Coverage of Crises.
