Base on the finding the following recommendations were made: The character of the Nigerian state must be restructured, The Federal Government should see the development of Bayelsa State and the entire Niger Delta Region as a top priority in the developmental agenda of the government, and stop paying lip-service to the people of the region, The derivation principle as the revenue allocation formula in the country must be strictly followed and government must sincerely fight against corruption which is the bane of the Nigerian problem.
