Item Open Access THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF WOMEN ORGANISATION IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: A STUDY OF KEFFI LGA OF NASARAWW STATE(DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY, FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES, NASARAWA STATE UNIVERSITY, KEFFI., 2020-02-03) Dim, Mary KumbaThis study examines the Contributions of Women Organizations in Community Development in Keffi LGA of Nasarawa State with the objective to discover the contributions of women organization in Community development. The study adopted social survey design using simple random sampling technique to select a sample size of 200 for the study with simple percentage test for analysis of data. The findings of the study revealed that the level of participation of women Organizations in the Community development in Keffi LGA of Nasarawa State was very low. Considering the numerical strength and enormous contributions of women in the socioeconomic well being of rural people, improving women's participation in the leadership of their communities is more promising for the development of communities.
