The leaves of the plant . were p itched from the stem and air dry before turn to powder and extracted using ' el ano^ ic f action (100, 200 and 400 mg/kg I.P) was tested on chemical acetic acid- in iiice writhing, formalin and thermal (tail-flick) analgesic tests with, .the aim of . e ucidaling both centrally and peripherally mediated action in rats and mice. Its antiinflammatory action against egg albumin-induced hind Paw Oedema was tested in rats. The result were expressed as mean ± standard error of mean. The student t - test as used to analysed level of statistical significance, between groups.and ANOVA among groups. P> 0.05 for tail flick the values of this finding are discussed.
